Scrapbag Give Away-

I have had so much fun going through my stash to tidy it up-
and pull out fabrics I know I am not going to be using with
any of the MANY quilting projects I have going.
So- I am passing them on! I hope you like the scrappyness of
the whole kit and caboodle- it is a real collection of just
about everything! Most pieces are fat quaters, but there are
a few larger, and some are smallish scraps. Winter is the
perfect time to cut and replenish crumbs/strips for scrap
quilts. If you have not seen Bonnie from Quiltville's Scrap
User System, see it HERE.

To enter- just leave a comment telling us the system you use
to keep track of fabrics that are smaller than fat quarters-
I guess crumbs/ strips.

Contest Ends in two weeks, October 31st! NOVA Won! email me
at mcrich@sbcglobal.net!

Love, Moorea

Is chucking them all in a box considered a system? :)

I am a scrappy quilter, and my scrap collection is stored in boxes - 1 for strips, 1 for tiny bits and pieces and 1 for everything smaller than FQ's!

Please count me in your giveaway!

I have two Scrap Using Systems. The first one I made from Judy Martin's suggestions to make log cabins easier. She uses LOF strips instead of WOF. No stretching....so I have 4 smallish drawer units with 3 drawers each and fabric is all by length and inside they are sorted by light/dark. I have stickers on the outside....removable ones. When I do a LC block all I need to do is grab each drawer as I need them. Wonderful to use.
Then I discovered Bonnie's Scrap Users System. It took me months but I finally tamed most (still not done) of my scraps into strips. I started with deeper drawer units but soon moved into seperate tubs by color and size. I should by stock in Sterilite and/or Rubbermaid. But this system works great too. No need to cut fabric for a quilt. I simply chose a tub or two and work from them. And as I generate smaller leftovers I keep a smaller container next to the sewing machine. These usually get processed into my square storage. My current passion is 1 1/2" squares as leader/enders. I have a small cutting board at the machine and when winding bobbins I will whack a few squares into the proper container. I now have 4 large cigar boxes with 1 1/2" squares. Do you think I have enough???
